Turquoise is an ancient stone, one of the oldest known minerals used for adornment. The oldest pieces of turquoise jewelry ever discovered are the four bracelets that were found on the mummified arm of Queen Zar which date back to the second ruler of the Egypt’s First Dynasty, approximately 5500 B.C.

Feel like an Egyptian queen in our Rio Cuff. Deep golden brass holds the blues and greens of the crushed turquoise creating a strikingly gorgeous modern talisman.

The turquoise in our Rio Cuff was chosen by Nettie while on a road trip through the South West. Its from the Kingman mine in Arizona, one of the last working turquoise mines in the South West. As the turquoise ranges in color from pale green to deep blue, each cuff will be completely unique and one of a kind.

As with all our jewelry it is handmade in our studio using reclaimed nickel free brass and careful attention to sustainable studio practices.

Please allow 2 weeks for delivery as each piece is made to order.
